•Its incidence continues to increase as the population ages and the prevalence of obesity and diabetes, increase.

•Pancreatic operations are an important and growing field of surgery worldwide4. 

•Intraoperatively derived fluid from the peripancreatic environment may cause complications5, 6, 7

•At present, there are no reliable ways to indicate or visualize pancreatic fluid leakage during pancreatic surgery

•Intraoperative detection of pancreatic fluid leakage may affect reducing complications6
